Teacher360 recently conducted two focused professional learning sessions at National Hill View Public School (Unit 1), facilitated by Mr. G. Balasubramanian, on Emotional Intelligence and Experiential Learning.
The sessions highlighted that meaningful learning is shaped not just by what is taught, but by how learners feel and experience the process. Educators explored the role of emotions in influencing attention, behaviour, and engagement, alongside practical ways to build trust, connection, and reflective classroom environments.
The workshop on experiential learning emphasised the importance of moving beyond passive instruction to active, experience-driven learning, drawing from both traditional practices and contemporary frameworks such as Kolb’s Learning Cycle.
Across both sessions, a common insight emerged: learning is most effective when it is felt, experienced, and reflected upon.
