Teacher360 successfully conducted a three-day online workshop on Managing School Wellness, bringing together educators, school leaders, and counsellors from across the country to engage in meaningful conversations around wellbeing in schools.
Day 1, led by Mr. G. Balasubramanian, focused on Learning Stress, challenging the common perception that stress is limited to examinations. The session highlighted how stress is often embedded within the learning process itself and emphasised the role of educators in recognising and addressing it.
Day 2, facilitated by Dr. Atul Nischal, explored Managing Examination Stress from both psychological and biological perspectives. Educators gained insights into stress responses such as Freeze, Flight, Fidget, and Fog, and the role of hormones like cortisol, dopamine, and serotonin in influencing student performance and wellbeing.
Day 3, led by Dr. Bhavanishankar Subramanian, centred on Managing Stress in Professional Growth, shifting the focus to educator wellbeing. The session encouraged reflection on the sources of stress and highlighted the importance of balance, awareness, and emotional resilience for sustainable professional growth.
The workshop reinforced that school wellness is a shared responsibility one that involves students, educators, and parents alike and that meaningful change begins with awareness, empathy, and intentional practice.
